Executive Committee
Angela Spencer, Chairperson
Angela Spencer has been an ANA member since 2004. Angela Spencer started Select
Nannies in 2000 and since its launch the company has gone from strength to strength. Before starting Select Nannies, Angela,
who comes from a corporate background, was herself, a Nanny for 7 years. She is also a mother of two, and has in the past
employed her own nannies. This has given her the opportunity to experience the process of being both an employer and employee,
and as such, Select Nannies have been are able to developed their dedicated services with the compassionate understanding that
Angela has been able to pass on.
Angela became Chairperson in November 2011, she is very passionate about ANA and keeping the standards of nanny agencies as
high as possible, and is supported by her colleagues on the committee and all the members of ANA.
Margaret Cowell, Vice Chairperson
Margaret founded Nanny Link in 1996 as an independent company and has utilised her skills as a qualified nanny, working mother
and ex- employer of a nanny, to provide a caring, professional and dependable agency service. As a parent, Margaret believes that
all candidates should receive a thorough interview in person and that all references are substantiated and CRB checks made. Nannies
are carefully selected to compliment a client's specific needs and are monitored to ensure complete satisfaction for both the client
and the Nanny. We continue our relationship throughout the placement. We care about our nannies and the jobs we put them forward
for so we want to meet them in person and understand their hopes and aspirations as well.
Due to Margaret's training and background she is now an active committee member of the ANA, and following her role as member
liaison officer she became the Vice Chairperson in November 2011.
Johanna Stevens, Treasurer
Johanna became a ANA member in 2007 when she founded Lemonjelly Childcare Solutions.
From the start Johanna wanted to work to the highest of standards for both her clients and childcarers and with the help and
support of the ANA members and their mentoring during the first year, Lemonjelly is now a leading agency in the Oxfordshire and
Buckinghamshire area .
Johanna became the ANA treasurer in July 2010 as she feels strongly about working together with other members in supporting the
work ANA does, raising ANAs profile and promoting its aims and standards to other families, agencies and childcarers.
Corina Naish - News and events
Corina Naish holds an NNEB Diploma in Nursery Nursing and an N.V.Q. Level 3 in Childcare
and Education and has worked as a nanny herself for more than 15 years before starting her own agency Coralis Childcare in
2007(based in Reading and covering Berkshire and Oxfordshire) and becoming an ANA member in 2009.
This has enabled her to put into use all the experience gained over the years working in child care and therefore offer parents a
tailored, superior service. Setting up a small business utilised all existing skills and made Corina learn new ones too, including
accounting, advertising, employment, HR and recruiting, hence her news and events role within ANA.
Corina is a very strong supporter of ANA and the work we do and is dedicated to trying to change legislation where nannies are
concerned and would like to see it made compulsory for all child carers to be registered and monitored throughout their careers; also,
for all nanny agencies to be regulated, following the best practice identified by ANA.
