The Association of Nanny Agencies

A group of nanny agencies who got together to form the Association of Nanny Agencies (ANA) has now elected its first Executive Board.

They are:
Chairman - Suzanne Moore (Premier Nannies)
Vice-Chair - Lorraine Manderson (Choices in Childcare)
Secretary - Belinda Hay & Suzanne Cropley (Cosy Toes Nanny Agency)
Treasurer - Claire Hale (Holly's House)
Press Officer - Susanna Whyte (TLC Nannies)
Liaison Officer - Di Williams (Nannyplus Childcare Solutions)

They will be supported by a Non Executive Committee consisting of representatives of PANN, Morton Michel and Nannytax.

The aim of ANA is to improve standards within the nanny agency industry and to lobby the government on relevant issues.

The move has been welcomed by parents as member agencies will have to adhere to a strict Code of Standards of Best Practice. This means that parents seeking a nanny through an ANA agency will be assured that every possible check has been performed regarding the nanny's overall suitability, to ensure their children will be cared for in the most professional manner.

ANA is a 'not for profit' organisation that exists to support and inform its members' and will enable agencies to provide both families and nannies with good standards of service.

Taking up office as ANA Chairman Suzanne Moore said " I am honoured and excited to accept the role as Chairman of the newly formed Association of Nanny Agencies. I look forward to working with my fellow committee members, over the coming year, to establish a professional and supportive association, assisting our agency members to enhance and develop their standing within the childcare environment. I anticipate an extremely busy year but feel totally committed to the launch and future growth of the ANA".

ANA is keen to work in partnership with other organisations promoting the well-being of children, support for families and raising the professional status of nannies.
